IBEW Local 238

Brothers and Sisters, Brother Zachary Aungst has completed all the requirements for graduation from the Asheville Electrical JATC program and has achieved the status of Journeyman Inside Wireman. Brother Aungst is President of the Local 238 RENEW Committee, is a delegate to the WNC Central Labor Council, and was selected by the CLC to attend the North Carolina AFL-CIO Convention this year.

Brothers and Sisters, Brother Trysten Phillips has completed all the requirements for graduation from the Asheville Electrical JATC program and achieved the status of Journeyman Inside Wireman. Brother Trysten is currently employed by BESCO Electrical of Huntersville, NC, at the Angel Medical Center project in Franklin , NC. Please congratulate Trysten when you see him.

NC Offshore Windmill Project

Brothers and Sisters, Please check out the document attached to this article about a proposed offshore windmill project in the Carolina Bay. Take a moment to follow the instructions and leave a comment for the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management asking that they use union labor to build every aspect of these energy farms. None of us can do everything, but all of us can do something.

Royale Burnett

IBEW Local 238 is deeply sadddened by the unexpected passing of our Brother Royale Burnett. Brother Burnett was a Journeyman Inside Wireman and was loved and respected by all who knew him. Royale's funeral is graveside service only on Sunday, December 5, at 3:00 p.m. at: Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery, 1743 Chase High Road, Forest City, NC 28043.

Future Solar Project Report
